FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 25, 2017— Sandia Resort and Casino, Albuquerque, NM is committed to being the leader in hospitality and entertainment with the opening of our newly remodeled South casino entrance on October 1, 2017. The South entrance opening will give our guests their first taste of a $20 million renovation project that began earlier this year. The project is sure to exceed the style and grandeur that guests have come to know and love at Sandia Resort & Casino.
Guests will not only notice the inviting ambience of the new porte-cochere, but, will feel the convenience and comfort the new entrance has to offer; protection from the elements during some of New Mexico inclement weather, easier and seamless access to those who call Sandia their second home, brilliant lighting and a state of the art video display to welcome all to the fun and excitement available at Sandia Resort & Casino.
The next phase on the $20 million renovation project will be the closing of the front casino main entrance; to include the relocation of valet to the newly completed South casino entrance. The front casino main entrance will receive the same improvements as the South casino entrance; such as increased protection from New Mexico’s changing weather, improved access and ambient upgrades that align with Sandia Resort & Casino’s four-star rating. The front casino main entrance will be closing on October 16th, 2017 and is scheduled to re-open in June 2018.
The concourse of the Sandia Amphitheater will showcase many positive changes. The amphitheater will receive an enlarged shaded concourse to provide greater access for our guest’s favorite refreshments, with the addition of over 4,000 square feet of enclosed, air-conditioned concession and retail space for an immersed concert experience. The expanded concessions will offer concert goers more choices of food, beverages and merchandise, which will allow shorter lines, more time to enjoy their favorite artist performing under the beautiful New Mexico sky. The sound booth is being relocated to make room for the expansion, nevertheless this move has the added benefit of enhancing the already phenomenal sound of the concerts, by placing the mixing right where the guests are. Sandia guests will hear exactly what the band is playing. All of these enhancements will be completed and ready for our guest’s to enjoy by the start of the 2018 concert season.
