BLUES LEGEND BUDDY GUY CO-HEADLINES SANDIA AMPHITHEATER WITH KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD BAND ON FAREWELL TOUR
ULTIMATE ENTERTAINMENT PACKAGE >
As multi-Grammy Award winning blues icon Buddy Guy begins his 2023 Damn Right Farewell Tour, he has announced four additional co-headlining tour dates with fellow guitar slinger Kenny Wayne Shepherd. The four-date tour will see the two visit Albuquerque, Denver, Las Vegas, and Bakersfield in July and August of this year.
These four shows, featuring two different generations of blues artists, are sure to be electric.
Guy’s Farewell Tour is the culmination of what has been a legendary career. “Me, Muddy, Wolf, Walter, we all used to look at each other and say, “Man, if I go before you, just keep these damn blues alive” and it’s like one day I went to sleep, woke up, and now I’m the last one left.” Despite his 87 years of age, Guy says he’s still learning. “That’s why I love playing with the young guys like Kenny, man. I listen to them and they might’ve found a note I haven’t found yet. You’re never too old to learn.”
